It is recommended to store the bouquet of chocolate candies in a cool, dry place. The optimal storage temperature is between +15°C and +20°C. Temperatures above or below this range may adversely affect the quality of the chocolate:

  • high temperatures causes the chocolate to melt, changes in texture and white coating on the surface,
  • low temperatures can cause crystallisation of sugar and deterioration of flavour.

Relative humidity should not exceed 65%. Excessive moisture can lead to condensation, which promotes mould development and deterioration of the chocolate texture.

If the bouquet has been exposed to prolonged cold or heat during transport, allow it to stand at room temperature for a while so that the chocolate regains its properties.

It is not recommended to store chocolates in the refrigerator, as sudden temperature changes can lead to condensation and white deposits.

Attention! White deposits on chocolates are not an indicator that the chocolate has gone bad and should be thrown away. The formation of such deposits is a natural process. It is just a change in appearance and texture, but not a sign of spoilage or deterioration of product safety. At the same time, the flavour properties of chocolates are not lost.

Usually the shelf life of chocolate sweets is from 6 months to 1 year, depending on the manufacturer and storage conditions.
